Want to learn more? We've gathered a list of the most frequently asked questions about our Rooted Campaign.

Since Christ Community Church was founded in 2015, we have seen our vision of being a community transformed by grace sent to transform the world for the glory of God come to fruition in many tangible ways. We envision the next season of our church becoming more rooted in the community so that we might have a greater impact in our community and beyond.

We chose the word rooted because of what it expresses: stability, permanence, depth, reach, and health. It speaks to things we sense our church already possesses, but also things we believe our church needs more of to accomplish our vision to the fullest degree for years to come. We will be rooted in Christ, rooted in community, and rooted for generations.

We believe that it’s time. It’s time for Christ Community Church to have a permanent presence within the community of Little Rock; a place that serves as a refuge to the people of our church, but also launches them into their homes and workplaces as agents of transformation. We believe a church campus offers us the chance to see our community of faith sink deeper roots in the person and work of Christ in a place where Christ is exalted and his Word is taught. All of this will be done to make much of the name of Jesus for generations to come as we pursue His glory together.

Our estimate for the totality of this project is between $24-25 million.

While this number is somewhat staggering, we are buoyed in our belief that God has set this project before us through His provision up to now. God graciously provided $2 million to purchase the land for our future church home. Additionally, through the past generosity of our church, we have been able to set aside an additional $3 million in reserves that are earmarked for a church facility. That leaves us with at least $15 million to raise during our 3-year giving campaign period.

Given the current unpredictability in construction and supply chains, a firm timeline is difficult to produce. We have been working with our architects and general contractor and believe we will break ground at Tract 17 in summer 2024. Based on current industry constraints, we anticipate construction taking approximately 13 to 15 months after groundbreaking.

While this campaign will run through 2025, in order to move forward with the building project, we need to know how much money we can plan to receive as the church gives sacrificially over that timeframe. This is where commitments come in. Commitments allow us to move forward in good faith, trusting in the future provision of funds that have not yet been received. Without commitments, we would need to wait until all funds were received before continuing to pursue this project.

You will fill out a commitment card with the amount you intend to give over the three year campaign. You may give weekly, monthly, yearly, or in a lump sum. Most people prefer a system of regular weekly giving; however, you should make your decision based on what the Lord leads you to do.
You can pick up a commitment card at church and return it on Commitment Sunday (February 12, 2023 or mail to our church office (16603 Cantrell Rd, Ste 1, Little Rock, AR 72223.

You can also fill out an online pledge card, below.

Change is a part of life, and we know that every family’s finances can fluctuate on a yearly basis. You might experience a windfall and be able to give more for a season; you might experience a job change or illness and be unable to give as much for a time. As life happens, prayerfully attempt to maintain your commitment as possible. Should you need to make a change, please contact Operations Director at WillB@C3LR.org

We encourage you to continue with your regular giving towards the annual budget and prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you to give to the Rooted campaign above and beyond your normal offering. We must maintain our giving to the operating budget in order for day-to-day church operations to continue ministering to the needs of our congregation and our community.

We are asking every person connected to C3 to step out in faith and in sacrifice during this campaign. While the financial commitment will be different for each person or family, it’s our desire that we would all share the joy of giving sacrificially rather than out of our abundance (Mark 12:41-44). Pray consistently for God to open your heart and direct you about your commitment. Through prayer and personal assessment, the Lord will be faithful to show you what to give. Again, your gift toward the Rooted Campaign, whatever the amount, should be offered as a gift over and above your normal offerings.

Our Rooted Campaign (which began in January 2023) will run through December 2025. This time frame gives you the freedom to give weekly, monthly, annually, or in a lump sum towards your commitment.

Our 21 acres property (known as “Tract 17”) is located on the northeast corner of Chenal Parkway and Chenal Valley Drive. It is located on the hill north of next to St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church and across Chenal Parkway from Fox Ridge Senior Living.

The property at Tract 17 is 21 acres. The building will be approximately 35,000 square feet with three wings. One wing will house the worship center (with a seating capacity between 600 and 750), the second will be home for C3 Kids, and the third will be for our event center and offices.

First, we ask that you pray with us throughout this entire process. This season will stretch and challenge our church body and leadership in ways we’ve never experienced. We will be communicating prayer requests and current needs over the coming months, and we ask you to engage in the work of prayer with us.

Second, we ask that you consider where you might be used to serve the body of Christ Community Church, both in the future and right now! A church building is nothing without God’s people giving freely of their time, talents, and resources to make much of His name! Our desire is to have our volunteer teams filled, trained, and thriving before we enter our new facility so we can “hit the ground running” with the vision God has given us.

We are pleased to be working with Modus Studio out of Fayetteville and Kinco Constructors here in Little Rock.
